Workshop 5 welcomed artist Leo Burtin and chef Lola de Mille. Lola, who’s inspiration comes from the spice route previously worked at Dharsham Nurseries Kitchen Garden. Leo’s artistic and performance based practice is rooted in food and the cultures that surround eating and cooking together. Workshop 5 explored the use of spice and herb mixes, we learnt how to use different spice mixes to transform basic foods into dishes fit for a celebration. Through creative writing we translated memories and thoughts into different flavours and fragrances. See the delicious results below!
